Request-specific matching

THP may recommend a match for one request—not declare a permanent best contractor.

A recommended match describes the information and routing conditions available at a specific moment. It is not a guarantee, certification, or endorsement of every project.

The four distinct states

  1. Listed: a profile exists using labeled information.
  2. Owner-verified: profile control was confirmed.
  3. Evidence-checked: named fields were checked against named sources on stated dates.
  4. THP recommended match for this request: current request-specific routing requirements were met.

What a request-specific match considers

  • requested service and project details;
  • city, ZIP, or confirmed service territory;
  • the evidence state required for the request;
  • current participation, capacity, or availability information;
  • emergency capability where relevant; and
  • THP-observed acknowledgement or response history where enough data exists.

What it does not mean

A match does not guarantee licensing requirements for a particular project, insurance coverage, price, workmanship, safety, availability after the routing moment, contract terms, code compliance, or project outcome. Homeowners remain responsible for reviewing current documents and the proposed contract.

Sponsorship

Paid participation may affect routing only where the commercial rule is disclosed and the contractor still meets the applicable request requirements. Payment cannot convert an unsupported profile fact into a verified fact.

Rerouting

THP may continue matching when a contractor declines, times out, lacks current capacity, or cannot serve the request. A reroute is an operational response, not a public accusation of poor work.
