Public-source information
Information retrieved from a government, licensing, business-registry, contractor, or other public webpage. The source and retrieval date should be shown when a material status depends on it.
Business-provided information
Information supplied by a contractor or authorized representative. It remains labeled as supplied unless THP performs and records a separate source check.
THP-checked information
A specific field checked against the displayed source on the displayed date. The check is time-bound and applies only to that field; it is not a blanket certification of the business.
THP-observed information
Operational events recorded through THP, such as a request acknowledgement, decline, timeout, reroute, or profile correction. Observations describe the recorded event and do not guarantee future behavior.
Unavailable or unconfirmed
THP did not find, receive, or complete the evidence needed to display the field as checked. Missing information is not automatically positive or negative.
Freshness rules
Profiles and reports should display a checked, reviewed, published, or modified date. A date describes when the stated action occurred—not a promise that the underlying fact remains unchanged.
