1. The homeowner describes the problem
The request captures the service, location, timing, property context, urgency, preferred contact route, and consent needed to process it.
2. THP checks fit
Candidate contractors are narrowed by service category, confirmed or evidenced territory, applicable capability, and the current profile and participation state. Missing information is not treated as confirmed.
3. THP records the request-specific match
A contractor can be identified as a recommended match only for that specific request and routing moment. The matching record should preserve the evidence and rules used for the decision.
4. THP monitors acknowledgement
Operational events may record acknowledgement, decline, timeout, or another bounded response. A delivered notification alone is not proof that a contractor accepted the request.
5. THP may reroute
If the first contractor cannot proceed, THP may evaluate another currently eligible contractor. Rerouting continues only within the homeowner's consent and the available qualified supply.
Homeowner responsibility
Before hiring, homeowners should confirm the contractor's identity, current credentials required for the work, insurance, written scope, price, permits, warranty, and contract terms.
